[Em] [Dm] The [A] dream of any kid is to have a [D] guitar who likes music,
and then the dream of any [E] musician is to have a signature [G] guitar.

So I'm George Loudon, and I founded [G] Loudon Guitars [A] in 1974.
[G]
[D] Every guitar that I design [G] and make, [Am] I have to feel [G] afterwards [D] proud of it.
I have to feel that it's something,
[Em] that I've achieved [A] something with it,
that it's not [Em] just the normal guitar.
I grew [A] up wanting [D] Loudon Guitars, because all of [Em] my favourite artists played Loudon Guitars.
But Loudon Guitars were like, [A] I think the starting price [Em] was like three grand,
and when you're 12, three grand might as well be [A] a million pounds.
[Bm] And so for me the aim was [Em] to design and make a guitar [A] here in Ireland,
at an affordable [D] price, noticeably better than anything else at that price [G] range.
So [Am] I went up the North Coast [D] to the Giant Causeway,
and I spent a week up there walking [C] and thinking [A] and drawing.
[Dm] Having designed that, [D] of course I sent it off to Ed,
[G] [A] and the [D] rest is history, I suppose.
[G] I love [A] [Em] really wooden, kind of battered looking guitars.
I can tell it looks like it's [A] been loved, which [D] is, you know, the [Em] heat.
But [G] also the first, [Em] it's the first strum [A] of how warm it is,
and that's [Em] how, you know, the Loudon Guitars that I played in the [G] past,
you literally just do [Bm] a G chord like that, and you're like, oh God, [Em] that's wonderful.
It's taking [A] everything that I've learned over the last [Em] 40, 45 years,
[D]
cherry picking from that a [G] few traditional [A] methods [D]
of working by hand,
and
[G] introducing those [A] into a whole series [D] of new procedures,
[G] groundbreaking procedures for guitar [A] making,
so that the end result [D] is a guitar made in Ireland, but one which [G] really sings.
[A] And I hope which inspires [G] many young [A] musicians, [Em] and [A] maybe [D] older ones as well.
Loudon is my favourite [A] brand of guitar that [G] I play,
so to [D] be able to work with [G] the brand that I love,
[D] and make a completely new guitar that's, [A] you know,
better than [D] anything [Em] near its price point, [G] you [D] know, really great.
And I hope people love them as much as I do.
