Hi guys, I want to do a little bit of revision of Hammy's Boogie.
Now if you're an oldster to the channel, you're an older subscriber, you know Hammy's Boogie very well.
You can probably play it perfectly.
And as you know, Hammy Howell was my first and only boogie-woogie teacher.
Make sure you Google him.
Put in Hammy, H-A-M-M-Y Howell, H-O-W-E-L-L.
And he was the piano player for a doo-wop band [Gm] called Darts, who [F#] had several top ten hits back in the 1970s.
And he came out to my house when I was about 15 or 16 and he showed me this boogie-woogie, which I call Hammy's Boogie.
And I've passed it on to you as a great first boogie-woogie piece to learn.
And I'm going to revise it because I've had lots of questions about it for some reason during the week about Hammy's Boogie.
[B] And I'm going to play a little bit of it here, just to revise it and just go into it more in depth.
So it starts off with the chop in the left hand.
Come over here, camera person, [C] to the left hand.
It starts with the chop, which is probably the simplest boogie-woogie left hand you can do.
You can find this in lesson one of how to play amazing boogie-woogie piano if you type that into YouTube if you want to learn it slowly.
And then it starts off [C] with the right hand.
And I'll do a little bit of Hammy's Boogie just to revise it.
Again, apologies if you already [G] know this.
If you're new to the channel, it goes like this.
That's the riff for Hammy's Boogie.
[F]
[C]
[G] [C]
That's basically it.
How we improvise.

And [A]
[Cm] [F]
[C]
[D] [C]
[G] [Cm]
[C#] [C] that's Hammy's Boogie.
Now, obviously I speeded it up there and put in a little bit of improvisations.
But the first thing I [Gm] want you to know is that the [E] simple version of Hammy's Boogie can be found in volume [F#m] one of the Badass Boogie Bundle.
And it's [F#] lesson four of how to play amazing boogie-woogie piano.
And if you want the extended version, the sheet music of the extended version of Hammy's Boogie, it can be found in volume two of the Badass Boogie Bundle.
And to solve your problems, what I suggest you do is to click that link.
It'll take [D#m] you to our webpage.
Go down our webpage and look for the Dynamic Duo.
It's a big [D#] red box, the Dynamic Duo.
