Hello, I'm Warren Haynes here for Guitar Extreme Magazine, and I'm going to demonstrate three different guitar licks
Starting with a very basic one and getting a little more complicated as the three [Em] go on
[A] [A] [F]
[D] [C]
[G] Very simple
Blues lick you can play
It's based on the blues scale you can play it
Across the one chord you can play it across the four chord you can play it across the five chord
But it's very much coming from like the BB King sort of school of blues
[Em] lick number two
[E] [D] [Gm]
[E]
[F] [G]
[G] That's kind of coming from more of like a Freddie King sort of school
Freddie King
Like a lot of the blues players would would bend from the fifth up to the dominant seven [E] which is You
[G]
[E] [E] [F]
[G] Lick number three [B] a [A] [G]
little [C] jazz here, but still in the kind of a blues world
I like to combine influences [G] and
incorporate jazz and rock and blues and even
Country licks sometimes all mixed within the same solo
