This is C-Dub, we are at PianoClubHouse.com and today I'm going to show you a basic congregational song
in the key of A-flat.
It's very basic, very beginner,
very easy.
Okay, so we have A-flat, okay, it sounds like, uh, let's see, [Ab] I'm a soul.
[Db]
[Abm] [Ab] [Eb] [Ab]
Okay, very simple, notice I wasn't [Gb] running, [Eb] [G] [Eb]
right now it's not that right now, I'm just
going to stay right on that [Ab] A-flat.
[Db]
[B] [Gb] [Ab]
So I'm on the A-flat in my left hand, just kind of bouncing on
it, you know, and then I have G-flat, A-flat, B-flat, F in my right.
Now that's five notes,
but it's an easy chord to hit, very easy.
[Db]
D-flat in left hand,
[B] B, E-flat, F, and A-flat.
Okay, [B]
move down to B in the left hand,
in the octave, right hand I have A, [Abm] E-flat, and A [B]-flat.
[Db] [B]
[Bbm] Here I [Bb] have B-flat in my left hand, [Db] A-flat, D-flat, D, and G-flat.
[Bbm]
All right,
[Eb]
I have E-flat in my left hand, right hand, G, [Db] B, [Gb]
D-flat, and G [Eb]-flat.
[Ab] I'm going to get my hand right here, A-flat in left hand,
G-flat, B-flat, C, and E-flat in the [Ebm] right, okay.
So you [Ab] have
[Abm]
[Ab]
a chord progression.
So this is very basic.
I taught this in E [N]-flat.
I played a little different.
The reason I played it different in E-flat is because I want you to learn, I don't want you
to have to, I don't want to show the same thing in every key.
That way it gives you a more diverse
when you're playing, you know, even if you're playing the beginner level, you can play it in
different ways.
So if you learn this in [Ab] A-flat, you can [Bb] always transpose this to E-flat, and then
you'll have another way to play it in E-flat.
You take the one I showed you in E-flat and transpose
that to A-flat, and you'll have two ways to play in A-flat.
So that way, it'll give you a variation.
When you're playing, you don't have to just keep playing the same thing over and over again.
So
that's why I'm changing it up as we go along with the different keys.
I'm not going to give you the
same exact basic beginner.
I'm going to give you, you know, two or three different variations as a
beginner that you can play so that you can have, you know, a flavor to it.
So once again, I'll play it for you.
It would go, I'm a soldier, or, you know, take the Lord, [Ab] take the Lord.
