[E] [A] Hey, what's up you guys Marty here with guitar jams [E] calm.
I'm going to show you a real easy.
Just simple little lick
That you can bug people with I saw a bunch of requests for it, and I taught it to a real student recently
It's it's cool little thing to practice
So what I'm going to do is I'm going to teach it to you in regular tuning first
But they actually drop it down to C
So it's almost sounds like a bass line, and it sounds very authentic when you do that
So I'm going to just show you how to do that after I teach it to you regular
So it goes like this zero on the low E string
Then I'd like to use my middle finger on two of the same string and then ring finger on three so [F#] oh [G] two [E] three
[F#] [G]
Then two oh so oh two three two oh
[E]
And you know you can practice alternating your picking you can do all down picks
You can start really slow, and it'll work your picking out a bit.
It's great exercise for that so we got
[F#]
[G] [F#m] [E] [F#] [G]
[E] [G] [E] [F#] [G]
[E] [F#] [G] Then [F#] [E]
we're gonna go 101 oh on the [A#] a string
[A] [F#] So oh two [G] [F#] three [E] two oh [A#] one oh [A] one [E] oh
[F#] [G] [A#] [A] [E]
[F#m] [A#] [A] [E] [F#]
[A#] [Am] [E] [G] [F#] [A]
[E] [F#] [G] [A#] [A] [E] [G]
[A#] [A] [Em] [F#] [G] [A]
You
And everyone's bugged
Anyway, it's just a fun little thing let me show you it's good your training exercise to [N] put your guitar these two strings
And what would be called drop C.
So what we want to do is I'm going to play the
the [C] third fret on
The a string and that is a C note
And I'm going to lower my e note to match that an octave lower it sounds like this you just use your ear to match
Get it you know pretty close
Then I'm gonna go to the seventh once I get that close
It's really this is just for messing [G] around
I'm gonna match my a string now [A] to the [G] seventh fret on the low e.
No which is now a low C
[A] [G#] [G]
[C] [D] [G#]
So basically this would be a C note now, and this is a G note
So if you have a tuner you could go [C] lower this till gets to C
And lower this one till gets to G, and then you play the same lick and it sounds straight off the recording
[D] [G#]
[G] [D] [C] [D]
[G#] [G] [C] [G#]
[C]
[D] [D#] And [D] [C] [G#]
[G] then you got something
Unrecognizable fun little lick to play all right so Marty Schwartz here
