Start Jamming...
Hey guys, Pratty Marty here, Easy Guitar Tunes.
I got another one of my favorite tunes to put up.
I know I say that about all of them, but all these are really good fun tunes to play.
So anyway, this one is called Still the One.
It's by Orland.
It's been done by an awful lot of people, but real fun tune to play.
There's five chords in it, and I kind of play it a little bit kind of a up-and-down strum with a suspend on the
chord, so it can get a little difficult.
But just remember you can always just play the song through the chords.
Just play the regular chords without all the funny stuff,
and you'll still get the basic product at the end.
So anyway, we'll give this one a go.
Still the One by Orland.
There's five chords in it.
The first one is G,
[G]
C,
[C]
D, [D]
and there's an E [Em] minor.
There's an [A] A.
[G] So again, the chords are G,
[C] C,
D,
[Em] E minor,
and [A] A.
This is a real [Ab] fun tune to play if you can get it.
So I'll go through the strum a little slower there, because it is kind of a funky [G] little strum,
but it is nonetheless a real fun tune to play.
So I kind of go up and down with it.
You see how
I'm putting the index finger up and down?
The [C] same thing with C, but you're switching strings.
So you're on your C, and then you're lifting your middle finger and putting it on the string below the regular C shape.
I don't know if you can see that.
[Am] So instead of there, you're putting it here.
So [C] I'll show you what I mean.
And that's kind of how I strum [D] it pretty much through the whole thing, just for those two chords.
And then the D also has a suspend.
So your first finger on the D would be
But [G] it's a very basic up-and-down strum, but it's kind of quick.
[Ab] But it's
[G] So
[C]
[D]
[G]
[N] it's
That's kind of how it goes.
So and you can just strum through those.
You don't have to do those little lifts and all that kind of stuff.
If you just play the basic chords and keep in time with the strumming, that song will come out just the same.
But this just makes it sound a little better.
So bear with me, guys.
So let's get this one down here.
It's still the one from Orleans.
And this is a real [D] fun tune to play.
So I hope you enjoy this one.
[G]
We've been together since we were back where we
Sometimes I never want to see you again.
But I [C] want you to know
[D] After all these [C] years
You're still the one
I want [D] whispering in my [G] ear
You're still the one I want [C] to talk to you about
[Bm] You're still the one [A] that turns my head
[C] We're still having [D] fun
And you're still [G] the one
Now I look at your face
Every day
But I never saw it till I went away
[C] Playin' with the game
I [D] just wanted to go
[C] Deep in the desert
I [D] long for the snow
[G] You're still the one that [C] makes me [Em] laugh
Still the one [A] that's my better [C] half
We're still having [D] fun
And you're still [G] the one
[C] You are [G] still the one that [C] makes me strong
[Bm] Still the one [A] I want to take along
[C] We're still [G] having [D] fun
And you're still [G] the one
Changing [A] our love is broken
[F] Even [C] though it grows old
[G] It grows new
You're still the one that [C] I want to
[Em] Still the one [A] and I can't get enough
We're still having [D] fun
And you're still [G] the one
[C] You are [G] still the one that can [C] scratch my [Em] itch
Still the one [A] that I will [C] switch
We're still [D] having fun
And you're still [G] the one
[Em] You [G] are still the one that [C] makes me [Em] shout
Still the one that I [A] dream [C] about
We're still [D] having fun
And you're still the [G] one
[C] We're still [D] having fun
And you're still the one
[C] We're still having fun
[D] And you're still the [C]
one
[G] [C]
[N] That's a great tune by Orlins.
I hope you guys enjoyed that one.
That's a real fun tune.
You pull that one out at a party and everybody seems to like that one.
