In this lesson, I'd like to introduce a few Montuno variations that you can use on a 2-5 progression.
[C] or A, C, and E.
C and E, the bottom note, A, descends to G sharp, G, and then F [Am] sharp.
Notice the top two notes stay the same while the bottom note, A, descends to F sharp, the third of D.

[D] For variation, I can roll the chords.
[G] Or I can arpeggiate [Am] them.
