[C] Hi there, [N] I'm gonna show you how to play four lullabies in just a few minutes on your ukulele.
The ukulele is a great instrument to have around the house if you have little ones you want to play too or you have a
baby in your belly like I do.
It's a lot
lighter than the guitar and it's really easy to learn.
So let me show you how.
All four of these songs are gonna begin the very same way with the C chord like [C] this.
[N] I made another video that you can check out which breaks down these three chords a little bit more in detail.
But these are the only three you need to learn [C] for these songs and
this is your main thing to start with.
So we got the C,
[G] the G,
[C] and F.
And I play F with an open chord like this because I think it [B] sounds nicer,
especially for these songs and
it's [C] easier for you to get your [F] fingers there.
So that's your F.
[C] So with my right hand,
I'm just gonna kind of play how I feel but sometimes you want to join your thumb down with the words
like this, like one, two, three, four.
That's a really good way to start when you're playing these songs.
These are very simple.
So I have a couple graphics on the left hand side, my left hand side, so you can follow along.
I'm gonna play these three so you can see.
Hush little [G] baby don't say a word, mama's gonna [C] buy you a mockingbird.
If that [G] mockingbird don't sing, mama's gonna [C] buy you a diamond ring.
See?
Really simple.
Just going from the C
to [G] the G
[C] to the C.
Back and forth.
Now this next one's even easier.
You can believe that.
Faire chaque, faire chaque, donnez-vous, donnez-vous, sonnez les martines, sonnez les martines, [G] ding [C] ding [G] dong, ding [C] ding dong.
Those are the same chords except you're doing
[G] ding [C] ding dong at the very end.
Now this one is also the exact same chord structure.
Rock-a-bye baby on the [G] treetops, when the wind [C] blows the cradle will rock.
When the bough breaks the cradle [G] will fall, [C] and down will come baby, [Em] cradle [C] and all.
Easy, right?
Now this last one is your stairway to heaven of lullabies because you're gonna [F] have to go to the F, but it's [C] worth it because it's so beautiful.
Ready?
Twinkle, twinkle, little star, how I wonder [Em] what [C] you are.
Up above the world so high, like a diamond in [G] the sky.
[C] Twinkle, twinkle, little star, how I [G] wonder [C] what you are.
Those are your four.
[N] Please let me know if that was easy for you to learn or there were some questions you had or it was complicated.
I just want to share all the information that I've learned as a musician with you because I believe that anybody can pick up an instrument and play
and I think it's so good to have around the house, especially if you've got families or you want to play during pregnancy, which I've been doing.
I think it's just a really good tool and it makes for a lot of fun.
So thanks for watching.
