Ooh La La Lesson - The Faces chords
Start Jamming...
Hey all, I just let the dogs out in the backyard
[C#] So I'm gonna try to whip through this lesson real quick before I go and bring them back in
This is for ooh la la from well, I guess I think the name of the album is ooh la la the faces
Neat little song people probably know it as I wish I knew what I know now or whatever
And Ron Wood actually sings it which most people don't realize
Nice job, huh?
I'm gonna try to show you both of the guitar parts
So first we'll start with this one without the capo and this is I guess you'd call this the lead part
[F#]
[C#] that part
So it's in D.
And so finger your regular D like that.
Yeah
And if you're if you're looking at this lesson you probably at least know
[F#] [C#] the chords for anyway without having to explain them
but here's how it goes you do [A#m] [C#]
[D#m] which is
[C#]
Take your pinky
Go on the G string.
Keep keep the D finger go on the G string up two fret [A#m] [C#] and that's
[A#m] [C#] so it's on and off on the G string from
[F#] two to four [C#] and
Then on the D string on the fourth fret
fourth fret to open so
[D#m]
your ring finger stays where it is, this is [C#] actually
In a man
[D#m] It's actually an e minor 7 so if [C] you wanted to [C#] play it as [D#m]
and actually play your e minor
Still [A#m] covering that D note [C#] the third fret on the B string.
You could do that.
I usually just do it like that
[F#] And only play those three strings.
I only play the
DG and B strings
But if you don't if you don't quite have the pick control to do that go ahead and play the entire chord
So you'll end [G#] up doing this if you're gonna play that [C#]
that's with [A#m] your pinky.
That's kind of [C#] tough
You [D#m]
play it like that and then it's [F#] open G open G note
[F] So [D#] [C#]
[F#] [F] [C#]
that's open G
[F] D string fourth [D#] fret
D string second [C#] fret then open
[A#] [C#] That's a string second fret
[D#] [F#] [C#]
and and if you listen to it, you'll hear how he kind of plays around with that little riff sometimes
[F#] And [C#]
then the next time he'll do it
[F#]
[C#]
He just plays around with how he's doing that main riff, but it's you could do it the same every time
I can't do it.
So really it does [N] that over and over again through the verses and through the chorus.
It's the [C#] same thing
[F#]
[C#]
[D#m] [N] Until it gets to that little piano break and for that part [C#] just go
D to [F#] G and [C#]
[F#] [C#]
[F#] [C#] then when it [F#] goes back into [C#] it
[F#]
[C#] It goes into the last verse and that's that's really the whole tune
So do your D chord and just play around with your pinky on there
And
[D#m] [F#]
[C#]
[F#]
[C#]
[F#] [C#]
you can you can [B] figure that out pretty easy.
Just messing around it [F#] the the other part
is [E] actually easier [F#] it's
Just a basic strum.
So that one is still in D
But you're gonna [F] be in a G
fingering so you put your capo
[D#m] up that
[A#m]
[C#] Sound
[F#]
[C#] so that's a G and then an A minor 7
So it's keep your pinky on [F#] the third fret on the E first fret on the B string
[D#m] second fret on the D string
The [C#]
[D#m]
[C#]
[D#m]
[C#] only difference there [C] is when it goes into the piano break it's G [C#] to C
So [F#] [C#]
[F#] [C#] [F#]
[C#]
[D#m]
[C#]
you really have to get the the rhythm of the strumming by listening to
[D#m]
[A#m] [F#]
Just
[D#m] [C#]
[D#m]
[C#]
[D#m] [A#]
practice that
[N] Once you get that down for about 30 seconds, then just start playing the chords over and you'll nail it.
Good luck
