The whole Fool's Gold thing, I wrote that song after [A] an unfortunate incident, getting
arrested in a place up in Kansas, a [G] little nowhere town in Kansas.

They took me in and I spent a couple nights in there and the [E] bailiff was real, [D] _
kind of
messing with me a little bit for being a songwriter and musician, [Dm] kind of kidding me
about [G] writing a song about it.
So I wrote the song and it ended up shooting all the way up the [D] Texnet 50 and [Am] landed on
all the [D] various Texas charts.
So it's been a real good tune for us.
It was a real good first single off the record.
So we had a good time recording it and playing with Mack, that was one of the ones he really dug. _ _ _
