[D#] [D] [Dm]
[D] [E] You're one of those few guitarists who, to me anyway, you can just wail away on electric
[C#] and then you can pick up an acoustic and wail away on it.
And you're not better on either one as far as I'm concerned.
Is it weird to kind of go from one [Em]
extreme to the next?
Well, it's not [F#] weird, but I do treat them as different instruments, really.
[Em] [G#]
Actually, not everybody plays both well.
Electric [B] players treat the acoustic as just a songwriting tool or something,
so it is kind of strumming [G#m] acoustic.
[F#] I really get the most out of an acoustic guitar,
by being slightly more orchestral, by [Em] playing a finger style,
by sometimes [F#] you can put in bass lines, sometimes you can put in chords,
sometimes you can put a melody over the top of whatever you're doing.
[G#] There are a lot of possibilities on the acoustic guitar,
and it's good to [Em] explore, it's good to expand as much as you [F#] can.
[Em] Even if you're just accompanying a vocal,
[D] there's more you can do than just strum.
There [F#] are other things you can do that I don't know.
[G] [D#] [C] [D] [Em]
[Dm] [D]
[E] [D]
In the dark I can see his face
In the dark I can reach [Em] him
[D] He hides like a [C] child
[D]
He hides like a [G] child
He [E] keeps his finger [A] on the trigger
[A] You know he can't stand the [F#] day
[D] Shoot out the light
Shoot out the light
[E]
Keep the blind down on the [C] window
[D]
Keep the pain on the inside
Just watch in the [C] dark
[D] Just watch in the [G]
[A] dark
You might laugh, but you won't see him
Every thunder's through the [B] night
[F] Shoot [D] out the light
[C]
[D] Shoot out the light
[C] [E] [C]
[D]
[E] [B] [G]
[A] [D]
[C] [D] [C] [D]
In the darkness the shadows move
In the darkness the game is real
Realize they're gone
[C] [D]
Realize they're [G] gone
[A] As you watch [G] as the lights of the city
[A] And he [B] moves through the night
[G] [D] Shoot out the light
Shoot [C] out [D] the light
[C] [D] Shoot out the light
[C] [D] Shoot out the light
[A] [D] [Dm] [D]
[G] [A] [F#m] [A] [F#m]
