Previet Baker, here's Jose Gonzalez far away.
I'm gonna just follow along this tab.
There's a good tab online already
So I'm gonna put the link in the description for this video so you can find it
I'm just gonna go through each part and show you how I do it
So first thing in the tab, you'll notice that you have to tune down
So I like to use this little app on my iPhone, but however you can you need to tune it somehow
So I need to tune the bottom string
Down to B.
So it's almost there.
So I need to make it lower
So I need to tune the lowest string to B
[A]
Then this needs to be a
Normal a string and you can find this tabbing instruct the chain instructions in the tab.
[D] This [Am] is D
And this is kind of weird
the G string
[Dm] Needs to be tuned to a
[F] Needs to be [Bm] tuned up
This is just B
[Em] And [D] E
so once again [E] the tuning which you can find in the
in the instructions for this tab the highest [Bm] strings E
[A]
[D] B a
Instead of G D
[A]
[B] A and low B really low.
All right, so I'm gonna go through the first part says verse 1
[E] So this is the main part of the song
[B] So you can either do a power chord put your first finger here on 2 and you know your third finger or your pinky
Later, it'll be helpful to use your third finger right here.
So then you just go like this
So what you want to do is do [F#] power chord
This is a b5 power chord first finger third finger or pinky.
We do it like this for later
and then
You do your thumb [B] and put your thumb here and then you do these three fingers
and then
There's two parts if you look at verse 1 in the tab
[Em] But Jose Gonzalez has really like [G#m] free-flowing style [B] for this so
It's kind of weird since I'm sitting like that.
It's easy to put your hand back
This is the main part of the song you want to get down
[F#]
Hopefully that helps for the first part that's the verse then the chorus is a little tricky
So then you want to put these two fingers here
This is the seventh fret on the A string and the D string just put those two fingers like that and you go this part
The tab is a little wrong.
The [A] tab doesn't have enough notes
You just kind of want to pick like [B] and then you go back to this.
I actually use these fingers [F#] now
[B]
[E] [B]
So this is the chorus and it's a little tricky because the tab isn't exactly right.
If you listen, there's more notes
I couldn't figure out exactly what he was playing.
So I'm just gonna put these two fingers on 7 again hit the bass once
And then just kind of pick randomly as long as you hear the part in the song
[F#]
[B]
[F#] [B] [E]
I kind of like to go like this the first time I do this
[B] Second time I go
[G#] Because he's singing like that.
It sounds [E] cooler to go like that
[F#]
[B] [G#] Here's the the verse and then the chorus and then I'll do the other [B] parts the verse
the chorus
[A] [F#]
[B] [D] [F#]
[B] You don't [C#] have to do this if this is too hard.
It just kind of sounds cool
Um
Then there's more of the same
And then after then there's a part called interlude if you scroll down the tab, this part's pretty [B] easy.
You just go
[F#m] [Bm]
[D] [Bm]
[F#m] [D] [F#]
[B] [Bm]
[G#] You do is you make a power chord?
[F#] Here five seven, but the first one needs to be stretched.
So you got to do it [F#m] like this
[Bm] Whenever I do power chords when I have to stretch these my pinkies
So this is four seven
[D] [B] Just slide it up
[F#m] [C#] You want to make sure you can hear this?
[D]
[G#] [D]
[Bm] [F#m] [D] [E]
[Bm] [E] That's the interlude now the outro is a little tricky [B] you gotta go
[E] [Bm]
[D] [B]
[Bm] [F#] This is the outro.
I always have the same power chord as in the beginning, but I'm using my [B] pinky and my middle finger
[E] But first you do their pinky five
[D] three
[B]
[E] [Bm]
Later on the song he reverses that he does more like
[E] [B] Also later in the song.
He just kind of does like he does like random stuff.
Like I think he's going like
[E] [D]
He's adding [Bm] then he adds [G#] some extra notes up on top so that about does it
I'm gonna just follow along this tab.
