Alright, in this lesson we're going to look at Fisher's Hornpipe out of the key of D.
It's a pretty basic song and this is the basic melody for it so hopefully it will be a good
one for you.
So let's get started.
We're going to use some chops _ and saws on the front end.
And you can do either one, so the saws would be like this.
[Bm] _
_ _ _ _ So what I'm doing is I'm using my third finger on the A [D] string on the D note and I'm sliding
my second finger up. _ _ _ _ _ _
_ [Bm] And then we're into it.
Or you can just do some chops. _
_ _ _ _ _ [D] _ _ [G] _
[C] So four chops or some saws to get started.
So let's play [D] the first phrase. _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ [E] _
_ _ [G] _ _ So note wise it walks up to a third finger [D] with a high two.
And _ then you're going to walk down using kind of an arpeggio.
_ _ _ So three, [F#] open, two on the D and open. _ _ _ _ _ _
[G] Continuing on, you're going to do third finger. _ _
_ [G#] Those are the notes.
Three, open one, first finger, open A.
_ Alright in this lesson we're going to look at some more advanced techniques.
So an advanced melody for Fisher's Hornpipe.
Good song out of the key of D.
I'll play the first part all the way through and put in
some extra things and then we'll break those down and talk about them.

I wouldn't do it every time.
But that's a nice little texture _ to start it for sure and then halfway through maybe.

So [D] right there I went up to a fourth finger.
