How to Play Wonderwall by Oasis on Acoustic Guitar pt 1 chords
Start Jamming...
[A] [F#]
[F#m] Say fret number one or two or three it's starting right there one two three one two three
Etc.
Okay, we're gonna [A] take our pinky and put it on the third fret
And a ring finger on the third fret on the high E and the B string respectively
The cool thing is these stay for the whole verse the whole time those just are glued
Right on to the guitar.
All right, so we're gonna take the shape of an E minor
And that's gonna be our first chord, we're just gonna call that E minor 7
That's actually all that is so you can actually try this chord now instead of a regular E minor and just see if you like it
[F] Okay, so that's E minor 7
Then I simply take my middle finger off
And play it [G#] right there.
[F] And now we have a G major chord
the next thing we have is called a D suspended fourth or D sus 4 and
If it's eat for me, it's easier to just
Keep in mind that I'm keeping those glued and I just go to what I think of as a D chord
like that
[C#] Even though the middle finger [A] is not that notes not even in there so you could
Just move your first finger to the second fret of the G string and you have the D sus 4 that we need
and then the next thing we need is an a
Well, it's a 7 sus 4 is what we'd call it.
But basically we just move that finger up and we [F] play that
Okay.
So once again, the chords are
E minor 7
G major
D sus 4 and
a 7 sus 4
Okay, so if you're getting used to these chord shapes what you can do is you could actually go like this you could
Just strum each chord down once to get the chord shapes going and then start to focus on the rhythm if you're a little farther
Along in your playing then we can just go right into the rhythm
But so anyway, I think it's a good idea [F#m] to try this if you're still a beginner
[A]
[F#] [F#m]
[A] [F#] [F#m]
[A] [E] [F#]
[A] [E]
[F#] Just like [Bm] that.
Okay, let's break down this [F#m] rhythm
the first chord
Look at that
down down down down up
I'll do it and then you do it
[A] Okay, then when we go to the G
we go
[F] [A]
Which is obviously down up down down [Fm] down up.
So let's put those first two chords together.
[F#m] We're gonna go
[A] So [F#m] look at that again
down down down
[A] down up down up down down down
[F#m] [A]
Slower
[F#m] [A]
[F#m] [A]
[F#m] [A] [F#m] [A]
[F#m] [A]
Okay, let's [Am] take those next two chords
I'm gonna go to this D sus 4 middle finger doesn't need to be down because these two are covering it
[E] We're gonna go like this
So [F] that's not so bad.
Let's take those first three now
[F#m] [A]
[E] [F#m]
[A]
[E]
one more [F#m] time first three chords
[A] [E]
[F] [F#]
So that last chord is going to be up strums
so three ups
And then a down up down up up up down up down up.
All right, let's try the whole thing now
[F#m] [A] [F#]
[F#m] [A]
[F#]
[F#m] [A] [F#]
[F#m] [A] [F#]
