Hey guys, Party Marty here, Easy Guitar Tunes on YouTube.
I've got another request, it's one of my favorite tunes too.
It's a real, real popular song by Kid Rock and Show Crow.
It's a slow one, it's called Pitcher, but a great tune nonetheless.
It's a very easy tune to play, there's only four chords in it.
I actually play it out of G.
I've seen them play it out of G and I've also seen them play it out of other keys.
[Ab] Anyway, that's the key that I use because it kind of fits my voice.
[G] The chords to it are G.
I use a four-finger G, you can use a three if you like.
[Gm] And then [D] there's D, [C] C, [Em] and E minor.
And you'll see me hammer on the E minor and all that means is an open strum and then you hammer on with your E minor.
That's all I'm doing.
I've got to strum it open and then push it down on the E minor.
And you'll also see me run from [G] G into E minor and all it is is your basic [G] G.
Pluck the top string once, remove the second finger, [Gb] lift the index finger up, pluck it [Em] again, and then go to your E minor.
[G] So again the chords are G, [D] D, [C] C, [Em] E minor, and I suspend that.
And I also run from G into E minor, which is
[Em] Again.
I also put a slap strum in the song.
In the song there's kind of a [F] slow drum beat going on and the slap strum is good for that.
It kind of gives it a little bit of effect.
So you can actually check out, I've got a link on this [G] video here, you can go to slap strum.
It'll explain exactly what it is.
All it is is me muting the strums and kind of give it a slap drum, [B] slap strum kind of a beat sound.
[Bb] Anyway, I'll strum this through a little bit and then we'll give it a go.
So it [G] kind of goes something like this.
[C]
[D] [G]
So kind of like that.
So give that a practice for a little while and then try to tackle the song along with me there.
Again, Pitcher Sheryl Crow and Kid Rock.
Let's give this one a go.
Living my life in [C] Slovenia.
Girl every night at the hotel.
[D] I ain't seen the sun shine [G] in three damn days.
Fueling up cocaine and whiskey.
[C] Wish I had a good girl who'd miss me.
[D] Lord I [C] want her if I'll ever [G] change my way.
[Em] I put your picture away.
[G] Sat down and cried today.
[D] I can't look at [C] you while I'm lying.
[G] I [Em] put your picture away.
[G] Sat down and cried today.
[D] I can't look at [C] you while I'm lying.
[G] Never saw you last night at the hotel.
[C] Never wanted to know what love did want to tell you.
[D] But those half-hearted smiles tell me something [G] just ain't right.
I've been waiting on you for a long time.
[C] Fueling up on honey and cheap wine.
[D] I [C] ain't heard from you in [G] three damn nights.
[Em] I put your picture away.
[G] I want to wait a bit.
[D] I can't look at [C] you while I'm lying.
[G] Let's see.
I put [Em] your picture away.
[G] I want to wait a bit.
I can't look at [C] you while I'm lying.
[G] Let's see.
Saw you yesterday with an old friend.
It [C] was the same old same as you, babe.
[D] Since [C] you've gone, my world's been [G] dark and gray.
Reminded me of Friday.
[C] I hoped you would come home and stay.
[D] I was headed to church.
[G] I was out to drag you away.
I thought about you for a long time.
[C] Can't seem to get you off my mind.
[D] I can't [C] understand why we're living [G] life this way.
[Em] I found your picture today.
[G] I swear I'll change my ways.
[D] I just called to say [C] I want you [G] to come back home.
[Em] I found your picture today.
[G] I swear I'll change my ways.
[D] I just called to say [C] I want you to [G] come back home.
[D] I just called to say [C] I love you.
[G] Come back home.
[Dm] That's a great tune.
