Hey guys, welcome back today.
We got a really cool lesson.
So we're looking at the [F] one, six, four, five progression, which you're typically hearing
in songs like, How Great Is Our God.
So we'll play the basic version of that and then we'll expand it a little bit using a
little passing chords and see, you know, just how can we spruce that up?
[C] So here we go.
[G]
[Am]
[G]
[F]
[G] [C]
[G]
[Am] [G]
All right.
So let's look at those chords.
Well, let's start with the bass line.
So we're doing one, six, four, [Ab] five.
So we're in the key of C.
So the one [C] is C, [A] A minor, [F]
F, [G] G.
[E] All right.
So one is major, six is minor, four is major, [D] five is major.
So the chords I'm [C] using here, [Bb] we have a sus2 starting in a C.
[G]
So we can do a little walking down.
[Am]
[C] So I'm just going from that C [G] to G and [Ab] then A [Am] minor, A minor 7.
[G]
[F] [Db] Now we're going to pass through that G [F] to F, [G] then G.
And now we're back on that [C] one.
All right.
So now let's begin to add a couple of passing chords.
We'll, well, I'll just play it first and then I'll break it down.
[G]
[Ab]
[Am]
[E]
[F]
[G] [C]
[Am] [G] [F]
[Dm] [G] [C] [C]
[Fm] All right.
So let's look at what we're doing.
So when we left that one, we did a seven, three, six.
And so we're doing two, five, ones to pass to the next chord.
So we start on [G] that C.
[B] [E]
[A] [Abm] All right.
So from that C, we went to a B diminished.
[B]
[E]
[D] [Am]
All right.
So for that seven, [E] we went to a B diminished.
[B] So we did, [A]
we [Ab] went B, E, A minor.
[E] So B diminished, [D] E sharp [Am] 9, A minor 7.
[B]
[E] [D]
[Am]
[Gm] [C]
[F] [E] All right.
So now we're going to do another two, [Db] five, one to get to F major.
[C]
So we're going to [G] do G minor, [C] C7, [F]
[Am] F.
So from that A minor, [Abm]
[Gm] [C]
[F] [E] [Am]
that's an F major [G] 7.
Then we went to the five, which is G.
And here I just did a little walk down.
[A] [G]
So I'm [C] just walking down the scale.
[G]
[Am] [G]
[F] [E] [Dm]
[G]
All right.
So let's put it all together.
[C] [G]
[E]
[Am]
[Gm]
[Am]
[A] [C]
[G] [Am] [G]
[E] [Dm] [G] [C]
All right, guys.

[G]
[Am] [G]

[A] [G]
